As summer comes to an end, we would like to recognize one of our amazing summer Programs, La Grande School District Summer Food Service Program.
Thank you to all our staff and volunteers, you created an unforgettable experience for participants.
School pictures are scheduled for September 6th. Retake day will be October 15th from 730a-1p. Pictures will NOT be held at registration this year.
The La Grande School District Registration and Resource Fair will be held at Willow Elementary/District Office on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 8 AM to 6 PM.
The Resource Fair is for all La Grande School District K-12 students and families. School Registration if for K-8 students only, Grade 9-12 students need to register at the High School.

LHS Athletes... It's time! Sports registration officially opens tomorrow, August 1st, at 8 am.

Make sure that you have a valid sports physical! The Student Based Health Center on Campus is doing sports physicals, by appointment only, Augusts 15th and 16th. Be sure to call them to get scheduled if you need one (541-663-3330). You can also get a sports physical at your primary care physicians office, and with most of the Chiropractors in town!

Summer Lunch Program important holiday week information!! There will be no lunch service on Thursday or Friday 7/4/2024 or Friday 7/5/2024. We will be closing the Pioneer Park site for Wednesday 7/3/2024 as well, with all sites reopening on Monday 7/8. On Wednesday 7/3/2024 at Central Elementary, Greenwood Elementary, and Island City Elementary, we will be passing out bags that contain breakfast and lunch meals for 7/3, 7/4 and 7/5, including half gallons of both chocolate and white milk! It will be a lot of food, so feel free to come prepared with boxes, bags, wagons, or carts to get it all home. Please remember, all meals for the Summer Food Program are distributed first come, first served for all children 1-18 years old, with no paperwork or signup required.

Athletic Registration for fall sports will open on August 1st. The first official practice date for fall sports is August 19th. If you have a student that is interested in playing a fall sport and is unsure of how to get a hold of the coach, please have them contact Holli at (541)663-3302.
CHD is offering FREE activity groups for children this summer. Groups are open to any young person in Union County, including non-CHD enrolled clients! For more information, contact Brandi Cronen, QMHA at 541-962-8807
The 906 Empowerment Youth Resource Center summer hours will be: Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3 pm to 5 pm. (Closed July 1-12). Activities are for students aged 14-18. Contact Kitia Chambers at 541-910-3267 or Nicholas Batten at 541-910-3230 for more information.
