La Grande School Board Member, Robin Maille shares what it means to be a School Board member. "School board work is important to me because I get to see the results of our decisions over time. All decisions are meant to support kids as they navigate learning in our schools-whether it is related to policy, budget, curriculum, social-emotional support or facility improvement. It is important to support and work with the superintendent and other board members, not against them. We make decisions as a group, through active listening and patience. Expect to invest time in learning about the schools and being part of the committees to explore options and plan for the future."

Girls basketball and wrestling practice starts January 3rd. Wrestling practice starts right after school, athletes will report to Mr. Lair's classroom after school and will head to practice on the LMS wrestling deck together, practice ends at 5pm. 7th and 8th grade girls basketball is here in the LMS gym from 3-5 each school day and 6th grade girls will be practicing at Willow Elementary gym Monday through Thursday right after school until 5pm.
Reminder: LMS band concert is December 15th at the high school at 7pm. We hope to see you there!

We have lots of items in the LMS lost and found, these items will be cleared out and donated over winter break so please be sure to have your student look through them. Thank you!
